Power of the Force 2 (1995-2000)

In 1995, Kenner Toys rebooted the Star Wars 3.75" action figure line.  These figures featured more detail and a completely new look compared to the vintage line released in the late 1970's.  The initial wave was known as Power of the Force, also known as Power of the Force 2 (POTF2) as an extension of the Power of the Force line from the 1980's.

Packaging Design

The packaging of this design also featured a completely new look!  There were a variety of concepts featuring background images of explosions & lightsabers.

Action Figure Development

The first figure developed was Luke Skywalker.  An early sculpt of the figure was developed and used for photography and packaging layouts.  The early sculpt concept Luke was later redesigned for production.
