Preproduction SOTE & POTF2 Prototypes Featured in Lee's Action Figure News & Toy Review Issue #42

In April 1996, Lee's Action Figure News & Toy Review Issue #42 revealed many of the new Shadows of the Empire and Power of the Force action figures featured conceptual designs.

Upon closer inspection, this carded Luke Skywalker figure is revealed to be a handmade mockup, featuring a two-dimensional cutout image of the character.
The Deluxe Desert Sport Skiff seems to be a custom, one-of-a-kind model built from parts in Kenner's model shop. It differs significantly from the production version.
