In the 1995, Tiger Electronics developed a series of electronic handheld games known as Grip Games.  Prior to smartphones, these computerized games provided kids a cost effective way to play video games on the go.  These LCD video games included James Bond 007 GoldenEye, MIB Men in Black, Duke Nukem 3D, Warhawk and Road Rash 3.

In 1997, Tiger Electronics worked with Hasbro to develop some Star Wars themed handheld games including the "Millennium Falcon Challenge".  Users can pilot the falcon through 4 levels of game play to achieve the high score.

There were plans to develop a Darth Vader's Tie Fighter grip game.  The user could enhances their dark side by piloting Darth Vader's Tie Fighter to shoot down X-Wing fighters.  However, this toy never made it past the conceptual stage.  This prototype is a non-functional painted hardcopy prototype to provide a conceptual look at what this game may have looked like.  The screen has a printed sticker to simulate an LCD screen.
