In 1998, Kenner released the Beast Pack assortment to include a creature and action figure. ToyFare (Wizard) magazine published an early concept photo of the Wampa Beast Pack around 1997 that featured a much different sculpt and paint deco compared to the final release.

In what appears to be a Deco Master, this early concept was completely resculpted prior to developing the tooling for the steel production molds.

This example is a rotocast first shot based on the revised sculpt that was used for final production.
